Hempington asked:
Granted “RA” is not a common term and I believe that religion, like alcohol, in moderation, is likely to be quite beneficial for many people, in a spiritual/resveratrol sort of way.
Indeed, many people suffering from alcoholism will find considerable benefit from a “higher power”, but it doesn’t typically lead to excess, in which faith appears to turn into a reality-challenged intoxication.
Perhaps RA meetings could be held like AA meetings, in the basement of many churches, right after services.
Would responses be any different had referred to Islamic extremist and referred to meetings after services in Mosques?
Oli- I’ll admit this question appears to have come from a rantaholic. Maybe that is the first step. I should take you up on your offer!
t56- Let us turn the other cheek!
Fireball- that is actually good advise.
Hollie- I agree.
Patio- a very good answer unless your attempting to be a bit silly and/or ironic.
damienbf- “spiritually-challenged” to be politically correct.
